PlayStack

PlayStack was founded on the belief that even the greatest developers need support to be at their best. We give our development partners the security and resources that allow them to play to their strengths as creative leaders, entrusting our experienced team to mastermind the marketing and publishing.

We support great ideas wherever they come from, and we’re completely platform agnostic.

PlayIgnite

PlayIgnite offers financial solutions to unlock your game’s potential. We give you more capital, more quickly, with more flexibility.

Our key solution, Ignition Capital, enables you to accelerate your user acquisition spending at a time when scaling your game is vital.

Seminar

Harvey Elliott – Why games become phenomenons
What can we learn from an industry that produces Minecraft, Pokemon Go, GTAV, Clash of Clans and Fortnite all between the first and final episodes of Game of Thrones? Here we will assess how your game idea can turn heads like no other medium.

Harvey is an industry leader whose 20 year career spans EA, Acclaim Entertainment and Marmalade, where he led two successful capital raises. Having finished his 4 year tenure as Chair of the BAFTA games committee, Harvey’s extensive experience developing, funding, publishing and playing great games has led him to found PlayStack - with the aim of shifting the publisher/ developer dynamic.

Ritesh Thadani – Your path to getting funded
Building a robust business whilst simultaneously creating a brilliant game is likely going to be the single most difficult professional endeavour of your life. Ritesh’s mission is to make that first part as painless as possible by explaining all the key platforms and pitfalls in the game financing market.

Armed with outstanding analytical and financial acumen, Ritesh joined PlayStack in February 2018 and immediately began assisting developers with his straightforward and no-nonsense business analysis. He also manages PlayIgnite - a completely unique funding solution that allows games to scale to their highest potential.

Juha Huhtakallio – How to get the most out of publishers
Getting your game signed by a publisher is incredibly difficult, but only the first step in a complex and long and winding relationship. Here Juha will explain how to get the most value out of your new dance partner.

Having released more than 80 titles in 16 years, Juha is PlayStack’s tree of knowledge on the business of making games. Among his plethora of duties, he operates PlayStack’s Helsinki office, lectures several schools in Finland, and assesses game pitches from developers across the Nordic region.

Demo Corner

May's sponsor is PlayStack, a publisher founded on the belief that even the greatest developers need support in order to create their best work. PlayStack can offer that support in three key ways; end-to-end funding, publishing expertise, and tech to build a strong gamer audience and community.

With this in mind, we shall do our best to accommodate as many teams as possible in the demo corner. That said, we may need to cut teams if the list gets too long, especially if there are a number of demos that require lots of space. Otherwise registration ends Sunday, May 12th.
