Finnish Games week is almost here!

Finnish Game Week is a week-long series of game industry events in Helsinki, featuring Leadership Day by IGDA Finland, Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki, and W Love Games conferences. It brings together game developers, students, and like-minded creatives exploring the topics of leadership, teamwork, business development.

Upcoming main events:

19.10. LEADERSHIP DAY

Leadership Day is a one-day event focused on how we build companies, teams, and working cultures to create better games. Expect inspiring talks from some of the brightest minds in the industry! Just like in previous years, Leadership Day will be held both in-person and online and best of all, it’s completely FREE!

20-21.10. PGC NORDICS 2026

PG Connects Nordics focuses on connecting you with the right people from all sections of the games industry so that you can do great business. They unite delegates across the entire ecosystem with all the key formats covered (from mobile, PC and console to XR, web3 and AI technology), and cover all core topics over 30 hours of content from 200 speakers across 20+ tracks.

22-23.10. W LOVE GAMES

W Love Games is a two-day event that is entirely FREE of charge for both on-site and online participants. However, registration is mandatory due to venue capacity and to ensure you receive all necessary links and materials.

The conference tracks are dedicated to diversity and leadership, accessibility, education, and gamedev practices. Through workshops and mentoring sessions, W love games wishes to help you advance in your career!

Leadership Day 2026: Call for Speakers

Save the date: Leadership Day by IGDA Finland is kicking off Finnish Games Week on October 19, 2026. Join us in Helsinki as we discuss the future of game development.

Like previous years, we’re looking for amazing speakers from across the industry to talk about leadership as the games industry navigates challenges and disruptions caused by layoffs, AI and other factors.

This is your chance to:

Inspire and educate: Offer often overlooked insights into building better companies, teams, and working cultures.
Connect with leaders: Engage with industry professionals and build lasting relationships.
Shape the conversation: Share your unique perspective on key leadership challenges and opportunities.

Leadership Day by IGDA Finland is an international event about how we build companies, teams and working cultures to build better games.

Leadership Day by IGDA Finland explores how we build companies, teams and working cultures to make the best games. Offering often overlooked insights to game development, this event kicks of Finnish Games Week in Helsinki on September 30, 2024.

We invited you to share your expertise on leadership topics that define success in the industry. Whether it's building resilient companies, navigating team dynamics, embracing change, fostering accessibility, shaping corporate culture, guiding mentorship programs, managing stakeholders, optimizing remote work, nurturing communities, mediating conflicts, cultivating investor and publisher relations, strategizing outsourcing needs, championing corporate social responsibility, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, or any other leadership topic that you are passionate about, we welcome your contribution.

The call for speakers is open. Share your expertise on leadership topics such as team building, change management, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion), accessibility, corporate culture, mentoring, CSR (corporate social responsibility), stakeholder management, remote team/company management, community management, conflict resolution, investor/publisher relations, outsourcing, or any leadership topic that you are passionate about. The deadline for applications is June 7, 2024.
